The Blue Guitar Store Closing and Celebration

I have the bittersweet task of announcing that The Blue Guitar will be closing in the next couple of months. No, we do not need a GoFundMe campaign or anything like that 😊 The Blue Guitar was founded in 1961 by Yuris Zeltins and Ed Douglas. Mason Williams was part of the shop. It was the home of the legendary Scottsville Squirrel Bluegrass band which included Chris Hillman and Bernie Leadon. The focus of the shop then and now has always been on repair. A short list of those we have done repair for would include Los Romeros, Christopher Parkening, George Harrison, Peter Green, Paco de Lucia, Trini Lopez, John Denver, Jackson Brown, David Lindley, Estaban and John Lennon’s long-lost Gibson J160E. But our best customers have been you San Diego. It is impossible to count the thousands upon thousands of guitars we have repaired over the last 57 years. But it is time to move on. If you want to purchase a guitar but don’t know how to play very well then don’t worry, you can always find a great Accredited high school guitar class.
So starting December first we will be having a gigantic Christmas blow out and will continue until everything is gone right down to the tools and fixtures. If you have been to any of our Friends and Family sales with Eastman, Taylor or McPherson, you know what type of discounts to expect. As the sale goes on the discounts will become larger as our inventory dwindles.
We are stocked for Christmas. Come in for huge discounts on Taylor, Eastman, Cordoba, Santa Cruz, Huss & Dalton, Orange, Savage Amps, Guild, Quilter, our Gigantic Parts Board, Vintage Tube Amp blowout and more. Call 619-283-2700 for details or drop by the shop at 5959 Mission Gorge Rd #101, San Diego CA. 92120.
Aloha San Diego, and thank you for 57 years of business and good guitar times!

P.S. Yuris Zeltins has retired to Seville Spain and is happy and doing quite well.
